Sunday, October 18th is CERT/Emergency Preparedness Outreach day! We will be meeting at the YMCA on 33rd St at 1:00pm in the Parking lot! The goal for this day is to outreach and help people in our community prepare for any emergency. We will distribute Flashlights, Radios, Magnets, Water Jugs, and Emergency Preparedness Pamphlets to all the teams. For a few hours, all the teams will distribute these essential items to vulnerable people in our communities. I know we can’t reach everyone, but this is a start!! Please bring your CERT vests with you so we can be recognized! Can’t wait to see you there!! P.S. 30 New CERT members completed the Fire/Rescue module of the CERT program this weekend. I want to thank everyone for a great training! I also want to welcome our members from our up and coming teams: Ray Baylor (West Baltimore Team), and Alfred Wainwright and Nancy Green from the (Wilson Park Team). The Baltimore Chapter of the American Red Cross teams up with CERT to increase the volunteer power in the city! ARC intructors will be training Baltimore CERT members to become Fire Responders in their own communities. Fire Responders are activated when a family or citizens needs assistance after a major emergency such as a house fire. We are excited about the program!!!!!

Aegon, after months of training, has completed the CERT program. We are excited to have this great team downtown!!!!
